Which Weekend? Cast Your Vote for the 2026 Johnny Eagles Memorial Ride in Joshua Tree

We have been working on April 3–4, 2026 for the Johnny Eagles Memorial Ride in Joshua Tree. However, since this falls on Easter weekend, we are considering April 10-11 instead. We want to check in with our riders before finalizing the date. Let us know by March 8th.

3. Is your preferred date the following weekend — April 10–11 (Note: April 10–11 coincides with Coachella Music Festival, so expect heavier traffic in the area.)

Note: We are not considering April 17–18 as an alternative, as later dates in the desert mean increasingly warmer temperatures and the wildflowers will be past their peak.

About this ride: Headquartered at the El Rancho Dolores Motel (73352 Twentynine Palms Highway, Twentynine Palms, CA), this ride was originally set up by Vic and Harry Sucher as a memorial to Johnny because they knew how much he liked to ride in the desert areas. It was meant to be a simple overnighter and it morphed into a 2.5-day event. With Johnny’s passing in April 2022, this is truly now a memorial… “Oh what da world!”
